Mentorship Program

IDEA Mentorship Program

The mentorship program is intended to provide support, guidance, and information to recipients of PHCN DPG's IDEA Mini Grant.

Why Join

  • Support. Employees with or working in diverse backgrounds can get support and encouragement from their mentors. Registered dietitians or registered dietitian nutritionists that may be battling inclusivity issues can benefit by knowing they have someone cheering them on.
  • Development. Mentees thrive by learning new skills through a mentor’s knowledge and expertise.
  • Visibility. A mentor can help combat feelings of exclusion and increase the visibility of employees for leadership opportunities.

    How It Works

    • Recipients of PHCN DPG's Mini Grant receive invitation to participate
    • Grant recipient completes Mentee Application
    • IDEA Committee Coordinator confirms enrollment
    • Mentee self-selects mentor from provided list
    • Mentorship partners attend PHCN DPG's virtual IDEA Mentoring Program Launch to discuss goals and communication frequency
    • Mentorship partners sign letter of agreement outlining terms
