Overuse and misuse of antibiotics in both humans and animals can lead to a host of problems, including antibiotic resistance. This webinar provides an overview of the challenges and concerns associated with inappropriate antibiotic use, with a focus on considerations for RDNs in various areas of practice. The webinar will also highlight current efforts at the national level to address this issue through comprehensive stewardship in both clinical care and food animal production. Registration is free for PHCNPG members and CPEU's are pending.

The nominating committee is pleased to present the slate of candidates for PHCNPG office for the 2015–2016 program year:

According to Academy and Nutrition and Dietetics’ policy, a slate of candidates must be presented to the PHCNPG membership 30 days before the start of voting on February 1, 2015. Should you wish to petition to add candidate(s) to the slate, you must submit your petition to the nominating committee by contacting Katrina Holt within the next 30 days (by December 23, 2014). Your petition must include signatures of at least 5% of PHCNPG members (73 members). Petitions must include biographical information for the candidate(s) and qualifications for the PHCNPG leadership position. If deemed eligible for the position by the academy DPG relations team, the additional candidate(s) will be added to the ballot. If you have any questions, please contact Katrina Holt, PHCNPG Nominating Committee Chair.
